Editorial standards

The rules the content engine and its human reviewers publish under. These constraints are enforced by the data model, not by good intentions.

  • Independent — not owned by a carrier
  • Every page reviewed by a licensed advisor
  • Sources cited and date-verified
  • No quote-wall, no lead resale
  1. 01

    Licensed review on every page

No page publishes without review by a licensed advisor competent in that subject. The reviewer's name, role, NPN and review date appear on the page itself, not in a generic footer.

  2. 02

    Primary sources only

Statutes, regulator bulletins, NAIC model acts, carrier contract language, and peer-reviewed research. Secondary commentary is never the basis for a factual claim.

  3. 03

    Dated verification

Every entity — article, carrier record, tool, jurisdiction — carries a lastVerified date. Records are re-verified on a scheduled cycle and the date is surfaced to readers.

  4. 04

    Structural disclosure

Regulatory, compensation, suitability and tax disclosures are typed fields in the data model, rendered in a fixed position rather than written ad hoc.

  5. 05

    Independence

We are not owned by a carrier and we do not resell contact details. Any compensation arrangement affecting a recommendation is disclosed on the page where the recommendation appears.

  6. 06

    Corrections

Material corrections update the article's updatedDate and are noted in the revision record. Silent edits to substantive claims are not permitted.

Review workflow

  1. 1.Engine drafts an entity against the published schema contract.
  2. 2.Managing editor checks structure, sourcing density and disclosure completeness.
  3. 3.Licensed advisor reviews technical accuracy and records scope, date and timestamp.
  4. 4.Entity publishes with reviewer attribution and citation list attached.
  5. 5.Scheduled re-verification refreshes dates or returns the entity to review.
